You stumble upon the entrance to an old, foreboding castle. You open the squeaky, un-oiled door and walk inside. The room you find yourself in is dusty and covered in cobwebs. Dust clouds fill the air and small rays of light break through the clouds. Two paths lie before you.
Go to the right, through a [[dark, shrouded entrance.|Laundry Room]]
Go to the left, towards a [[dimly lit room.|Living room]]
You come across an old room with baskets and buckets littered all over it. The space is dark and cramped, with a singular window allowing little light in. A curtain hides something in the darkness.
Do you [[open the curtain?|Water Heater]]
Or do you [[go back to entrance?|Entrance]]You enter into a large room that is sparsely furnished. Cobwebs hang from the low ceiling, and you can see cracks forming in the bricks. Dusty old art hangs on the wall, barely even recognizable. An old bookshelf is leaning over, spilling its contents onto the wooden floor below. You can see a small room next to you that is lit brightly with outside light. A dark hall also lies across the room, with a half-shut door adorning it.
Go to the [[bright room.|Office]]
Go down [[the hall.|Hallway]]
Return to the [[entryway.|Entrance]]You pull the curtain back. An old machine from ages past is leaning over on its side. It looks like it used to heat up water to allow the inhabitants of the house to bathe. It has obviously been long abandoned.
Push the curtain [[back into place.|Laundry Room]]You enter the room and beams of light immediately hit you. The large windows allow lots of sunlight to come in, and you can see a spacious backyard with lots of foliage. The room has overturned couches covered in cobwebs littered throughout. The cold, concrete floor has shreds of fabric on it; rugs once covered this area. Closed bins and cabinets are also strewn about. There is a door to the outside, but it is heavily pad locked.
Return to the [[large room.|Living room]]The hallway you find yourself in is long and narrow. There is a single chandelier hanging from the ceiling, but it is inoperational. Three slightly ajar doors flank either side of the hallway.
Go into the door on your [[immediate right.|Bathroom]]
Go further down to the door [[on the left.|Parent's Room]]
Go straight to the [[door at the end of the hall.|My Room]]
Return to the [[main room.|Living room]]You find yourself in a small washroom. A large metal tub sits turned over in the corner, and a few small buckets are scattered around the small space. Strange bottles are lined on the shelves above the metal tub.
Return to [[the hall.|Hallway]]This must be the master bedroom! The room is in as much disrepair as the rest of the house. The [[ceiling|Ceiling]] is higher, and an even grander [[chandelier|Chandelier]] hangs from it. The [[walls|Walls]] are deep green color. It looks like someone may have painted them. Two large [[windows|Windows]] allow plenty of natural light into the room. A large, [[old bed|Bed]] sits in the middle of the room. Its wooden slats are falling out and leaving marks on the wooden [[floors|Floors]]. A singular [[dresser|Dresser]] sits in the corner. Lots of [[art|Art]] adorns this room, much like the larger room you came from.
Return to [[the hallway.|Hallway]]You enter a smaller, more cramped room. Obviously a living space, lots of furniture is scattered around the room. You can make out a desk, a bed, a bookshelf, and a small dresser. A closet sits sullenly in the corner with a divider hiding what's inside.
Open the [[closet.|Closet]]
Return to the [[hallway.|Hallway]]You open the divider that hides this creaky closet and find old, shredded cloths. Old trinkets adorn this closet on shaky shelves. On a higher shelf, you can see various dolls and toys that have been hidden away.
Close [[the divider.|My Room]]There are mysterious cracks spanning the length of the ceiling. It looks as if the stone in the top had been hit by something large and mighty.
(display: "Parent's Room")The chandelier has gold and silver jewels hanging from it. They look old and tarnished, as if they had never been taken care of. You can barely see your own reflection in what was once obviously a shiny centerpiece.
(display: "Parent's Room")The deep green color of the walls is chipping, and you can see the original stone material peeking through the chips. Various stains adorn the walls, as if someone spilled drinks on them.
(display: "Parent's Room")The two large bay-like windows let in lots of light. You can see vines growing on the outside of them, casting reflections into the room. Tattered curtains sway to the sides of the windows. They have small holes in them. It looks like maybe a critter got into the room.
(display: "Parent's Room")The old, brown, wooden bed lays derelict in the middle of the room. Its slats are coming apart, leaving brown dust all over the floor. The wood itself has cracks and holes in it. The holes look similar to...termite holes? Yuck.
(display: "Parent's Room")The floors are cold stone with various shreds of cloth scattered about. What used to be rugs is now food for the various insects that feed in this room. Your shoes clack loudly against the bare stone.
(display: "Parent's Room")The dresser appears to be half full of clothes. You can see various shirts and pants hanging out of the ajar drawers. It's also brown wood, matching the bed. The dresser also shows similar signs of bug activity.
(display: "Parent's Room")The art that hangs on the wall deeply contrasts the art in the living room. Naked, abstract female bodies dance upon the canvases. There are 7 distinct paintings on the wall, each painted in a different style. Some are painted, some are mixed-media, and some are drawn. The art looks like it was well taken care of when this castle was still inhabited. [[You move one of the frames.|Grow]]
(display: "Parent's Room")Suddenly, you find yourself crashing into the stone ceiling! The stone above you begins to buckle under the pressure of your head, and your back REALLY hurts from being twisted around. You adjust yourself so you are kneeling on the floor and take in the room again. You can now see that the art is arranged in an oddly specific way. Each piece of art is just slightly higher than the previous one. It almost resembles stairs leading up to something. You then notice a small hole in the ceiling above the highest painting. Being as large as you now are, however, you can't even move!
(link: "You quickly move the frame back into place.")[You quickly move the frame back into place. Everything begins to shrink, and you finally feel the pressure on your back lifted. You scratch the top of your now bruised head. Something about that hole in the ceiling...]
